Original artwork description:

This painting is of a lush tropical garden in the Caribbean. I wanted to 'zoom in' on the tangle of plants so that the viewer feels immersed in the foliage. The tree in this painting is my favourite tree of all time - the Flamboyant Tree (Delonix Regia) which really lives up to its name, being smothered in large fire-red flowers, complemented by feathery green leaves.
