Original artwork description:
Painted on-site in the artist's garden in Minneapolis. Features a bright orange "Mandarin Lights" Azalea , a fiery pink "Nova Zembla" Rhododendron, and pansies in shades of dark purple, light purple, and magenta-red. Painted in oil on board with both palette knife and brush. Spattering and dripping effects in the background are created with water-based casein paint, whose matte texture contrasts with the thicker, glossier oil. Florescent oil paint is used to emulate the brilliant colors of the natural flowers. Framed in a 3.5" wide wood framed with a black finish and gold inner edge. Total framed dimensions are 24.5 x 20.5".
