Original artwork description:

Here is the second painting in the Trickster series. After I finished the “Trickster I” painting and writeup I started thinking . . . What made the Trickster what he is? Really this painting should be the first in the series because it shows the Trickster as a young unattractive youth infatuated with beauty. He’s dressed in all white showing his purity and naivete towards the world and its ways. The woman and the two peacocks are also white - the metaphor being - this scene is from long ago when everything was pure and new - not yet tainted by centuries of greed, wars, disrespect for others, . . . everything that is wrong with the world today. Notice that the woman is looking skyward with a bored disinterested look. By being rejected and shunned the Trickster goes on to seek his revenge . . .

Materials used:

Acryic Paint
