Triptych on deep edge canvas. Japanese society has always celebrated the flowering of the cherry blossom trees. Symbolising the great cycle of life birth in the spring, fruit in the summer , death in the winter then rebirth once again in the spring.
Lovely flowering hillocks painted on sprinkled ,tinted and layered dutch metal. Altogether about 20 layers of paint , leaf and lacquer.

Materials used:

Crumbled gold leaf, french polish, organic gesso, acrylic, dutch metal leaf, van dyk crystals
