A large canvas, clear water - a favourite and much loved subject. Painted in oils on a fine linen canvas using a combination of layering, blending and glazing.
The painted image continues around all of the edges of the stretched canvas, so it's not needing a frame and will look best on a plain wall.
For me shallow water, usually the sea, is fascinating and depicting the contrast between clear pebbles progressing through distorted pebbles to water reflecting the light and brightness of the sky makes a great image. So relaxing.
