I am fortunate to live in Northern California in the Sierra Nevada mountains where I can paint year round outdoors on location. This painting was of a meadow where the narrow gauge train is still operating. I had perfect fall colors and light for this piece and inspiration. The intensity of colors was truly magnificent capturing the day.
