Original artwork description:

On archival quality 140lbs Deckle edged Arches paper.
Inspired by the memories of Jain statue and temple of Gomateshwara in Karkala, Karnataka state in South India.
The seeker in Jainism have a special place for this pilgrimage center stop a hill, with a huge monolithic statue of a saint who renounced everything, including his kingdom.
I have painted this in my minimalist style, emphasising the contrast between deep red uneven steps, for this material world and pure plain untouched paper showing sky , pure white, unblemished like enlightenment.
