Tone Poem No. 5

Cool colour tones with hints of delightful texture. The painting is rich with layers to achieve the right effect. Though the main colours most prominent through the final layers, blue and white, is often is associated with calmness, the brush strokes are done with life, haste and urgency creating a tension and juxtapose within the painting.

Acrylics, Painted on a MDF board. It has a little picture hook on the back of it, so technically you can hang it straight on the wall (though I would recommend getting it properly framed as it just looks amazing!).

The Tone Poem series is a collection of Abstract Paintings meant to be a sort of visual poem of colours. The blending, interplay and contrast between colours, texture, layers, tempo of the brush strokes all play along side one another to communicate a certain tune to be listened too. Kind of like an abstract dance within the paint. I like to call it the painters answer too the writers stream of consciousness.

The painting will be packed flat in a cardboard box. Depending on the packaging (often ordered to the specific requirements of the painting) it may take up to 5 days to dispatch.
