Artwork description:

Tombstones to dead starfish

Edition of only 10 exclusive signed prints

Style: Graphic. Minimalist. Line. Montone. Transparent colour. Geometric. Optical.

I've created this image in response to the press reports of thousands of dead or dying shellfish have washed up on a beach on the same stretch of coast that saw a number of crustacean die-offs.

Visitors to Saltburn-by-the-Sea, a few miles south-east of the River Tees, were met by the sight of hundreds of thousands of dead mussels on the shoreline, as well as starfish, crabs and razor clams. Some campaigners have feared that dredging for a new freeport on the Tees was linked to the die-off, greed and profit over the natural world perhaps? Any profits from sales will go to environmental charities.

All my artwork is drawn directly into the computer (no scans or photographs) using vector lines and curves. The finished artwork is printed out as a high quality limited edition Giclée print.

This is an original digital artwork. The above image is taken directly from the image file, rather than being photographed or reproduction of the final print.

Printed colours can vary slightly from those produced by a computer screen.

Your print will wrapped in layers of acid free tissue then rolled into a strong cardboard tube for posting along with a letter from the artist.

By default the print is cut with a 1.5 cm white border. If you wish your print to be cut to the edge of the image let me know.

Materials used:

vector software on a laptop, output on high quality 250gsm matt paper
