In this night view of Tokyo the lights on the highway in the foreground are not at street level, but actually raised around four stories off the ground. This gives an idea to the density of this great modern metropolis and how many people are travelling around it. It was very interesting to see day turn into night as the colours of the towering skyscrapers faded into the darkness. It created a beautifully dark, eerie and shadowy scene that was only partially illuminated in small areas by a few elevated lights or cars.
