One of my favourite places in the world - having traveled in many countries - this area of coastline on the border of the Lake District and not far from my studio always represents an opportunity for quiet reflection and also memories - walking along here with the dog and collecting stones with the children. This area can also be wild, rugged and unpredictable and the sands deceptively dangerous. It is a wonderful coastline overlooking the bay with this painting trying to capture something of the windswept wildness of the grass tussocks by he waterline.
This painting is from a series of square box canvases completed initially to sit together. Signed by me on the reverse this painting is ready to hang.
