This painting is made to order.
The painting is deep, atmospheric, thoughtful. The boat symbolizes a person, and its direction is moving towards the light. To epiphany, to self-awareness.

The event takes place on a quiet night, under a starry sky. To the left is a cliff face. I didn't detail the sky and the pine trees growing on top of the cliff. All attention is focused on the boat - it is the only clearly detailed object. I've been using this technique for a long time. Like subject photography, there is only one, the most important, object in focus. Everything else is just a background, just an addition. It's like meditation: focusing on just one thought.

Everything else dissolves into space. Do you feel this deep peace that I feel?
