There is no denying the fact that Swans are among the most elegant of all birds, be they pure white, pure black, or in the case of the Black Necked Swan a bit of both!
Here we have a Black Swan (Cygnus atratus) with the beautifully curved neck and a drop of water clinging to the end of his beak.
This photograph was taken in Port Douglas, Queensland, Australia during a 3 week photographic trip with my family in 2013
The graceful curve of the neck in the composition lends itself to the square format I have chosen for this presentation
