Original artwork description:

Drawing in which white and yellow dominate in honor of the papal colors, as the work is inspired by the imaginary portrait of Bonvicino of Assisi, a powerful Templar knight of the 13th century. He influenced the fate of the city of Perugia, in whose annals he was remembered as a valuable interlocutor between the city and the Holy See: he was in fact in the service of four popes, who preferred to rely on men belonging to military monastic orders, such as Bonvicino, for their undisputed loyalty and diplomatic skills. My work is a journey through time, a dynamic expression of courage and devotion. I used pencil, pen, ink and pastels to bring to life figures that embody the essence of the valiant and mysterious knight. Expressionist strokes blend with realism, while the language of comics adds a palpable narrative. Each stroke is a heartbeat of ancient heroism, destined to resonate vigorously within the walls of the home.

Materials used:

Ink and colored pencils on paper and cardboard
