A quirky art sculpture, La poule pondeuse qui n'arrivait pas à pondre (The laying hen who couldn't lay) is a very special, unique and zany hen, with the cute look of a discouraged laying hen who can't lay, her light blue eyes, and her little linen-coloured overalls with big black polka dots and braces...
She's part of the CalbinoOz series, sculptures made from natural gourds grown in the south of France.
The calabashes were emptied of their contents, seeds and skins so that they could be exported without fear of damage to the health of the whole world. To make it heavier again, the calabash was filled with red clay balls.
Unique piece signed on the back.
Material: surf wood cellulose, dried calabash wood, acrylic paint, protective varnish.
Dimensions approx. D 18 x H 20 cm
calabash wood, surfine wood cellulose, blown glass
