Artwork description:

Ochre and Grey Abstract on Canvas.

At the foot of the Trotternish Ridge on the north end of the Isle of Skye lies Loch Fada, a small, ancient loch with a single track road running alongside. This landscape in Summer is one of rich, muted yellows and greens, sometimes lifted only by the silvery blue of the water. Home to leaping fish and wandering sheep, this landscape has remained unchanged through the centuries.

TITLE: The House by the Loch

Listed here as a canvas but it also looks beautiful printed on my beautiful fine art matte paper. Please just get in touch if you need any advice.

I believe in giving my clients beautiful artwork on luxury materials that hold their colours for a lifetime!

For these special prints of my work I use dreamy, light textured Canson Canvas and the highest quality inks.

People often say that my images look like paintings because of the richness of the colours, the depth of the black and the texture of the materials I use. Canson are one of the oldest paper manufacturers in the world, they have been making paper for over 450 years in France. Founded in 1557 and printers to Louis XVI, their paper was used by Voltaire and Napoleon and the Montgolfier brothers used Canson paper to make the first hot air balloon. Canson paper was used by Picasso, Ingres, Chagal, Miro and many other artists. They have been making paper and canvas for photography since this art began over 150 years ago. Canson are Eco Friendly - they purchase paper pulp only from forests managed in a sustainable way which also makes them pretty special.

A few notes worth mentioning:
The size given is image size. It is quoted in inches and in addition to the final size there is an extra border, called a gallery wrap, this is for the sides of the picture.

Canvases are unframed and unmounted, they need to be stretched or framed once you get them. They are matte varnished and come with 1.5 inch gallery wrap or with white or dark coloured sides, just let me know which you prefer. Once ready, they are carefully wrapped in acid free tissue then shipped in a sturdy art tube to ensure safe delivery.

Thanks for looking, if you have any questions just let me know.
