Artwork description:

This collagraph monotype print is based on views seen on Exmoor a few months back, captured through a combination of sketches and memory, wanting to create an image that plays with contrasts of bright sky and sombre moorland.

The image has been created through applying layers of torn paper, shaped into forms to create the hill, layering a variety of sombre colours to form the image. The blue sky has been created by lightly applying pressure onto the paper with the fingers, giving an effect of clouds in the sky.

Materials used:

Watercolour Ink on Postcard.
