An acrylic painting measuring 50 x 50 cm and painted on MDF canvas board.
'The Harvester' is a figurative painting.., capturing the significance of the seasons. Harvest time is a time of reaping all that is sewn.
Textures within the dress are achieved by imprinting a delicate lace into a gesso base.
Layers of paint and glaze are alternated to reveal the previous layers of colour and pick up the detail of the pattern left behind from the lace.
Materials used:
Acrylic paint, acrylic medium glaze, gesso, lace.
