This was from a photo taken on my first ever visit to Ilfracombe - a quite perfect day and I hope the excitement and pleasure I felt comes across in this painting. Embarrassingly it took a few moments for me to appreciate this was a retired lifeboat! I adored the lighting with the cliffs in the background hinting of indigo in their shadows.
