This painting is a unique piece that formed part of my early collection of oil paintings.
I liked the idea of painting a landscape so decided upon a mountainous scene with a railway track gradually working its way up. I added a small girl in red walking on the track holding her teddy bear and unbeknown to her a steam train is fast approaching. The swan is revered for varying reasons depending on religion and legend, my swan is acting as her protector.
Perfect for adding a statement piece to living spaces that may create a talking point with visitors.
Executed in good quality oil paints, painted on all sides, and finished with a glaze of gloss varnish to protect against sunlight and dust. It just needs a nail or wall fitting to sit flush against the wall.

The painting is 32 x 24 inches, with a depth of 0.6 inches and is on stretched canvas.
