This painting was inspired by my mother's lifelong dream. She dreamed about being a florist. She dreamed about collecting flowers early in the morning when the sun was rising and the morning dew would damp her dress. Then she would make arrangements to celebrate love, compassion and understanding. My mother never became a florist; however she has a garden with flowers of many colors and she shares her flowers with everyone she meets. My paintings are a celebration of her dream and the effect that flowers have on all of us.
