This is the finalist work of the Rafael Canogar Sculpture Contest, in La Roda, Albacete. Upon learning of the contest, I wanted to take advantage of my participation to mention the situation that Plataforma SOS Tendidos Eléctricas and the Albacete Association of Ornithology (SAO), have been denouncing for years: the electrocution and collision of avifauna in power lines, which causes the death annually of hundreds of thousands of birds, most of them eagles, as a result of the inadequate conditions of power lines in Spain but especially in Albacete. He had to make a work that showed the magnitude of the wingspan in flight, its beauty and that is why the work rests on an outer point, away from the center of gravity, while trying to show the movement and balance of an instant through a figurative synthesis. For its design I used sketches that I still have from when I was a child and belonged to the bird watching group.
