I am beginning to put the flowers and leaves that I paint into some sort of wider context at the moment - some of my paintings are looking into the sun and moon, day and night, and others - like this one - are a response to the fact that the beauty of nature is something that we should never take for granted.

While my pieces are increasingly abstract, they are totally rooted (pun absolutely intended!) in the gorgeous flowers and plants that surround our everyday lives - either in a countryside setting, an urban structure or even those beautiful weeds that spring up wherever they can and should never be discounted!
