His face has two mouths one made for kissing the other devouring. He shelters from the rain under his umbrella symbolising his secret motives. He wears an aids ribbon on his suit a symbol from his public life out of place in this scene. The weather symbols symbolise the world he's coming from of gentle conversation and English reserve giving way to the subjects base, animal nature in the realistic down poor.
