Original artwork description:

While thinking of a title for this work I came across the quote from Vladimir Nabokov which seemed to sum up perfectly my thoughts. I wonder at the power and sheer size of our seas and I sought to convey this in a brooding image created using washes of watercolour, to which liquid graphite was added before finishing touches were made with soft pastel.
This work is presented double mounted ready for framing. It will be dispatched cello wrapped and carefully packaged in an appropriate strong cardboard box protected by bubble wrap and sent via a tracked courier.
A certificate of authenticity will be provided.

Materials used:

Watercolour, liquid graphite and pastel
