A Ukrainian young woman in traditional costume looks at us with her gentle gaze. Her blue eyes are filled with love and calmness. She is expectant and relaxed at the same time.
Ukrainian traditional clothing for me, is always the most dressy and spectacular. Therefore, in this painting I paid special attention to it. The varied headdress is decorated with autumn chrysanthemums. The inflorescences in the composition add a special sophistication to the image. The portrait depicts a woman whose character is entirely fictional. I wonder if she exists in reality?

Oil paints based on natural pigments are used. Damar varnish and linseed oil have been added.

Cotton canvas glued on cardboard. Fine texture of the canvas. Baguette frame and elements for fixing are not included in the price.

Painting technique - a la prima. Layers of paint thin. Covering varnish was not used.
