I’ve been mulling over this idea for a long time now… like years. In the process I lost the photo. But I copied it, then lost that. Then find the black and white photocopy… and so on.
Now I’m not quite sure how I managed to film my doing the painting, yet forget to take photos along the way. Sometimes it’s like that.
The idea is based on the picture, the capture of this precious pose while I was staying at Wat Pananachat (the foreigner’s forest monastery) in Thailand.
Here I want movement in the pose, fluid, loose, and an interesting abstract colour scheme.
This is a lovely paper, convenient size, just the right absorbency for this raw paper, and a thick paper.
The close up picture allows you a better feel for the texture and brush stroke of the painting.
