When holidaying in nearby Gardenstown on the Moray Firth in Scotland, I walked at low tide along the shore to the tiny hamlet of Crovie, which lies snuggled into the bay below the surrounding hills. The old houses are built on shores edge, and are only accessible along the narrow path which runs in front. Each house has an old wheelbarrow to transport their goods home along the path . The scene is viewed through grasses growing in the foreground.
Painted in a naive style which brings out the colourful sweep of the hills behind.
Painted on canvas board, ready to mount and/or frame
Photos of framed painting for illustration only. Sold unframed.
Sealed and varnished.
Size 18x14" / 46x36cm
Canvas board, acrylics, varnish
