Original artwork description:

A full moon streaming in the window this day had me in the studio at a silly hour. But magic can happen at any time, and this piece was effortless and joy filled! It was lovely to have a studio partner for tea, and Eshima (whose name means "true blessed intention") was a perfectly delightful guest.

Between the lovely tradition of offering guests tea in Ireland and the ceremonial tea of the Japanese gardens this week, I believe the universe is telling me to have more tea and tea parties! There is something so soothing and reassuring about a hot cup of tea, perfectly brewed and served in a beautiful mug.

"Tea Time with Eshima" - mixed media on reclaimed wood. 6" x 18" x 1". Ready to hang.

Materials used:

acrylic, charcoal, china marker, ephemera on reclaimed wood
