The second in my pandemic self-isolation series of prints where I am, unusually for me, focussing on interiors, my home and the beauty of the ordinary, utilitarian objects that surround most of us. And as thousands of us are spending a great deal of time in our homes at the moment, it is a moment to enjoy these objects, even as we chafe at our lack of freedom and must resist the pull of friends, family and the outdoors.
In this print a table is set for tea, for one person. Lonely, perhaps. But also able to focus on a favourite teapot, sugar bowl, fresh flowers, a vintage jug, mismatched chairs and more.
