Artwork description:

’Tales of the Forest’ is a narrative etching which takes its inspiration from popular fairytales. Through a series of visual snippets, we see a number of characters and animals inhabiting a magical forest. It is left up to the viewer to create their own narrative.

This 14 colour silkscreen is printed on Somerset satin, a heavyweight 300 gram handmade paper from St Cuthbert's Mill in Somerset. The print is created by printing each colour separately, gradually building up the image.

Materials used:

water-based silkscreen inks on heavyweight handmade paper
