Artwork description:

As a painter I am inspired by the landscape around me - which could be near my studio in the English Lake District or journeys throughout the UK and around the world. A major feature of the Cumbrian landscape are the sheep and cattle. In particular the local Herdwick sheep and iconic black and white Fresian cows. As well as sketching and painting the land I also occasionally draw and sketch animals - and these charcoal drawings (mixed media with thin washes of water and acrylic paint) are an example of stretching that subject matter

Done on beautiful artist quality Fabriano Paper these are offered unframed. Placed in a frame floated off the surface with their rough edge exposed they would work brilliantly - but with glass mount they would become too difficult to transport. Hence they are offered here at a reduced price
