Original artwork description:

I have modified a 'Four Square Cut Cake' tobacco tin to make a frame for a scene in miniature, including hand painted, minutely detailed wallpaper. I am fascinated by historical images of confectionery that speak of the fantastical and imaginative as well as the dark elements of Western tastes for all things sweet.

Materials used:

relief hand cut paper collage in vintage Four Square cut cake Scottish tobacco tin, domed glass
