'Sunset Light on Brighton Sea'

The low winter sun passing over the sea is of great inspiration to me. It creates a dazzling light on the water that often subtly contrasts with warm muted skies. For this painting I was interested in capturing a wider aspect and working with an earth palette to get the feel of the overall warmth of the scene.
