A large study, this was painted from part memory, part invention, of the early morning fog over a lake in Lithuania. Having visited a long time ago, the motivation for this study was found perusing old travel photos. I had always found the small hours of the morning particularly conducive to reflection, and I remember sitting alone by this lake, feeling a profound sense of peace.
