Original artwork description:

When I walked into my studio this morning, the sun was shining bright. I wanted to set up something colourful against the sun and this tomato caught my fancy. To make things interesting, I cut it up and set up the wedges around the plate. The shadow play was fascinating and was such an inspiration.

I sketched my set up quickly, directly on the board and thankfully managed an initial block in while the light was still there. Completed the painting from my mental notes and a photo that I had taken. I hope I have done justice to the beautiful light.

This painting is flat and ships unframed. I can offer you framing suggestions if necessary, please don't hesitate to write in.
