Artwork description:

This is a new linocut of sunflowers, open and unopened. It's getting gray here in Boise, and I'm starting to draw and print and paint flowers because there aren't any around! And sunflowers are my favorite flowers. They're just so huge and happy.

I made this print a bit bigger than some of my last prints. It's 16X20. I cut it out of linoleum, printed it onto Strathmore paper, and colored it in with watercolors.

Materials used:

linoleum, oil-based ink, watercolor, Strathmore paper
