Artist's description:

This Acrylic on Brown Paper painting is one of two that were done early one morning during a visit to Sun MoonLake in Nantou, Taiwan. It was painted “en plein air” just as the sun was rising from the balcony outside our room. It was a beautiful slightly misty morning and the distant mountains were barely visible through the haze. There was a magical bright glow to the morning mist from the dawning sun that I tried to capture. I wanted to leave the original paper border around the painted image to give the window effect of a print and because I like to show the contrast of the painting with the original surface of the brown paper.
