This artwork belongs to the "Seasons"series. This series took me several years - from 2007 to 2015 and has a lot of works. I try to correlate female beauty with the beauty of nature here, to be more precise - her energy, her lying state, with those emotions and sensations that a particular season causes in me.
Painting "Summer" is the culmination of the work and the foundation of this entire series. This artwork was the very first and means a lot to me, it was painting while studying at the Art Academy. The girl here symbolizes the summer - she is very relaxed, even spoiled, sitting in a free and calm pose. The combination of colors reflects the riot of summer colors, and the shade of her skin hints at the bright sun and how the human eye sees the color after staying on it. This girl combines the unhurriedness of summer leisure and the warmth of the world.
