This is the third and final study bringing together an image from one period of Western Art and painted in the style of another.
Set up in the studio after Vermeer's "Lady in blue Reading a Letter" which is part of the Rijksmuseum collection in Amsterdam, it shows a student modelling the lady's pose with her letter
Painted in a divisioniste style of Georges Seurat
