Question for the artist?

Artist's description:

Many kinds of bridges were built along the Calumet River since its development in the 1860s. Since land and water traffic both needed throughways, this has meant the design of movable bridges. Land traffic was halted when ships needed to clear the bridge area. The Chicago Skyway in the background was built to be a shortcut from State Street in Chicago to the steel mills on the Southeast border with Indiana.

Transformation Is true of this region on a symbolic level as well as being my artistic media. The vibrant colors in my photos represent the vital role this industrial hub played in developing the Calumet region. This art is from my series, Steel Giants Of The Heartland. Recently displayed at the Bernard Gallery in Indiana.

My digitally manipulated photo is printed on enhanced matte, archival paper. If you prefer a larger size photo please use the message link on the right side of the screen, “Questions for the seller” to contact me. I can also provide prints on canvas.
