DESCRIPTION
“Future in the past” was painted on the basis of a sketch for the theater curtain in Lviv from the 19th century.
The painting illustrates the Apollo's Temple and the Final Judgment.
In the central part, you can see Apollo (“inspiration”) linking beauty with the truth.
On the right side you can see "sadness" in a dark robe, an allegorical figure.
She is looking at Aphrodite, who says goodbye to Adonis, who leaves for half a year to Hades accompanies by Persephone and Charon.
On the right side you can also see despair, crimes and vices. Behind them there is the gate of Hades with the Greek inscription " Abandon hope all ye who enter here".
On the left side you can see Muses and revelers around Bacchus’s statutes who are waiting for the inevitable.
On the stairs sits a clown who symbolizes comedy

Signed and protected with a permanent varnish.
Certificate of Authenticity will be included with the painting.
