A lifting breeze and darkening clouds rolling off the headland at Berry Head, Torbay, a solitary yacht hugs the coast heading for a safe harbour... I painted this little work from memory having sailed in these waters and experienced the changing mood of the weather that pounces without warning.
This is an incy-wincy painting, the actual painting measuring approximately 3" X 3" (7.5cms X 7.5cms). Its framed measurements are 8" X 8" (20.5cms X 20.5cms). It is painted in a loose style with artists' quality acrylics on MDF board.
About the frame - I am an avid recycler and regularly 'rescue' frames that I find on my travels - this is reflected in the very reasonable price that I can offer this painting for sale. This frame has been renovated by me and the picture painted specifically for it. It is made of solid wood and is finished with gold, and has an aged look to it. It has a saw tooth hook on the back and is ready to hang. Alternatively, it looks good standing on a small easel (not supplied).
Artists' quality acrylics, gloss varnish, MDF board, solid wood frame (gold finish).
