The artist created this graceful little sculpture from a piece of alabaster. He gave the light, almost transparent stone a complex organic shape with openings. It is not figurative, but various associations certainly lend themselves to it. The artist's goal was to make the stone bloom without depicting a flower. The sculpture is mounted on a dark piece of stone. The dimensions are without this stone block.
