Sun-drunk dazzlingly beautiful peonies painted in a impressionistic style . Each brushstroke beautifully captures the movement of light . Very textured work , the artist didn’t hold back on the paint , it was almost sculpted on canvas with a palette knife ! This is a difficult task to paint the flowers in a vase with a high horizon line, that is, when we look at the setting from above, and even against the light.
