This is a portrait of “Marielle Franco” - A Brazilian activist, who had a master’s in public administration, and lived in the slums of Rio de Janeiro. Marielle fought for the rights of women, single mothers like herself, gay people and favela residents. She denounced the violence inflicted by Rio’s police on the community, and for that was murdered by 2 policemen. She’ll be remembered for her strength, courage, caring and plight to help the poor in Brazil.
