Artwork description:

Collagraph limited edition print, printed on 370gsm watercolour paper. This is a working steam engine at Elsecar Heritage Centre near Barnsley South Yorkshire. This is from a limited edition of 6. A Collagraph print is one made from a plate with different textures. My printing plate is made from mounting board. The process is a combination of intaglio and relief. I Collaged my plate with different textures in this instance scrunched up paper wallpaper, tile adhesive and aluminium insolation tape. I also cut into the plate with a scalpel. I used PVA glue to stick on my textures. Pva is then sealed with shellac. The plate is then coloured with stay open inks and printed. If you would like to purchase one, please message me and tell me which number you would like. There's a number in the bottom left hand corner. I will pack this print flat between layers of cardboard (see me at work pic) This print is sold unframed.

Materials used:

stay open oil based inks on 370gsm watercolour paper
