Artwork description:

The rider and stag beetle are part of a fictional world of large insects and diminutive humanoids and are part of a story told through sculpture. The relationship between these organisms and the roles they occupy in this fictional landscape are in inconstant flux, thereby removing any fixed social basis for one organisms dominance. Each species experiences substantial height and breadth variations amongst it’s members rendering these attributes obsolete as a means of determining hierarchical rank.
Finished with 4 patinas to create a mottled beetle with blue green rider.

Materials used:

Bronze
