Original artwork description:

This is a commissioned artwork which I have just completed:Pine Cottage is situated on the edge of the forest, It has a wonderful rambling woodland garden full of surprises an oasis of calm surrounded by trees.
I visited on an early spring morning which was perfect, the sun was just filtering across into the garden. Wandering around deciding what to paint I came across this view in the far corner, Camellias Azaleas and Snowflakes filled the borders and a wonderful Magnolia tree reached across to the sun.
The work was created using a palette knife and is therefore textured, painting extends around the edges the of the canvas.
This painting was a challenge particularly the Magnolia Tree ,I really wanted to capture the feeling of the location. I am happy with the finished work and so is the was the client who has just taken delivery of the painting.
