A celebration of Spring, birds, wild flowers, a riot of gorgeous pastel colors and wonderful scents!
a handprinted aquatint etching, this means that as the artist, I create a copperplate, or in this case, 6 small copper plates, that holds the images, from these copperplates I print an edition, every time a print is printed, the copperplates has to be inked up, this means that small differences can occur, and should be treasured as to why etchings are called original prints. This also means that if you would like to custom order a print, you can, I can print all the birds in a color of your choice? Your imagination is the limit!
Etchings are handcrafted prints, from start to finish. No inkjet is involved!
You can see me making and etching a copperplate if you go to www.youtube.com and search under my name!
I printed "Spring" on a piece of beautiful warm white printmaking paper,
that measures 12" x 16",(30 cm x 40 cm)
the size of the copperplates all together is 9" x 13" (23 cm x 33 cm), this gives you plenty of paper to frame the print as a statement if you would like.
I sign, title and number each print.
"Spring" is printed in a limited edition of only 30 prints.
Please note that I can't guarantee that you receive the number in the photograph.
I'll mail your etching protected by tissue paper and cellophane, it comes with a flier explaining what an etching is.
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to get in touch, I'd love to hear from you!
